Spendly lets you pay at supported online stores with the crypto in your own wallet. This page explains what the Spendly website and the Spendly browser extension collect, why, and what they never touch.
What we never collect
- Your keys. Spendly never sees your private keys or seed phrase. Every payment is approved by you, in your own wallet.
- Your browsing. The extension only runs on the checkout pages of the supported stores (Amazon, Nike, adidas, Zalando, IKEA, Airbnb) and on the Spendly website. It does not read other sites, your history or your other tabs.
- Your card or bank details, your name, your email or your delivery address. Spendly has no account form: you sign in with a wallet signature.
What we collect, and why
- Wallet addresses you connect, to sign you in and to show your balances. Addresses are public on the blockchain.
- The order total on a supported checkout page, read by the extension when you choose to pay with Spendly, to prepare the payment.
- The address of the current tab, only when you open the Spendly window from the toolbar, to tell you whether it's a supported store. It isn't stored.
- Your Spendly orders: store, country, amount, payment transaction and the store credit issued, so you can see your history and so any remaining credit is used on your next order.
- A session cookie on the Spendly website and a link token stored in the extension, so you stay signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else receives data
- Our store-credit partner receives your wallet address and the order amount to issue the credit for your order.
- Conversion providers (when you pay with ETH or USDT) receive your wallet address and the amount to convert.
- Public blockchain networks record your payments, like any on-chain transaction.
- Price services are asked for exchange rates. They receive no personal data.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while you use Spendly. Ask us to delete it at any time; payments already recorded on a blockchain can't be erased by anyone.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to us. You can also remove a wallet from your dashboard at any time and uninstall the extension, which deletes everything it stores.
